The Transmission R&R (Remove and Replace) Technician is responsible for the removal, installation, and replacement of vehicle transmissions in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. This role involves working closely with diagnostic technicians to identify transmission issues, using appropriate tools and equipment to remove defective units, and installing rebuilt or new transmissions according to manufacturer specifications. The technician ensures all components are properly reassembled, fluids are topped off, and systems are tested for proper operation. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures and repair protocols are essential in this hands-on automotive position.
