Mr. Transmission in Madison, TN is seeking an experienced Transmission Builder/Swing Man/R&R Technician who specializes in assembling and repairing vehicle transmission systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring optimal vehicle performance. Expertise in mechanical systems and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate must diagnose transmission and drive train problems as well as properly rebuild transmissions and transfer cases.
• Top candidates will have 10+ years of verifiable on-the-job experience. They will have a dedicated workspace specifically for transmission rebuilding.
• The candidate will construct and lay out builder trays, thoroughly inspect parts to quality standards, clean and assemble components of a transmission, and perform final testing of transmissions to ensure proper function.
• Perform transmission assembly and disassembly according to specifications and standards.
• Inspect and identify transmission components for wear, damage, or other issues.
• Replace or repair any faulty or damaged components as needed.
• Ensure all transmissions are assembled correctly and meet quality standards.
• Perform final testing of transmissions to ensure proper function.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of transmission components.
• Stay up to date with new transmission technology and repair techniques.

Requirements:

• Experience in rebuilding transmissions for various types of vehicles
• Knowledge of transmission components and their functions
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot transmission issues.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.

  • 7:30 AM- 5:30 PM Monday through Friday
  • 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday
