We are a family owned shop with over 50 years of experience. We have a fun and positive work enviroment. We like to keep our shop as organized as possible. We are professional and have been in business in our area for many years. We are not a hole in the wall shop. We also have a steady influx of customers, so there will be no shortage of work. We are located in Athens, GA approximately 5 minutes from down town. Athens is a great town with lots of housing, restaurants, and infrastructure. There will never be a shortage of things to do, however Athens does not have the downsides of a large city. The cost of living is low as well.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School deploma/GED
- 5 years minimum experience building automatic
- Be able to work with little to no supervision
- Be able to multi-task
- Diagnose transmission problems while building
- Be able to communicate with co-workers, owners, and sometimes customers
- Must have quality tools or be able to purchase tools from the tool truck for a weekly payment. (We provide ALL specialty tools)
- Team player
- Positive attitude
- NO drug/alcohol problems
- Fast pace and productive/stay on task
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Experience in building automatic transmissions both foreign/domestic and both early and late models
- Diagnose transmission problems
- Use and maintain equipment related to the job
- Make a list of needed parts to complete transmission rebuild
PAY/SALARY/OTHER
- Anywhere from $1,000-$2,000 + per WEEK
- Salary is largly based on the number of units you are capable of building per week as well as experience
- We are open to BOTH salaries or commission pay that would be based off the number of transmissions you build per week. This will be discussed if interested.
- We currently offer 1 week of paid vacation plus sick days/emergency days
- Will be working M-F 8:00AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekends off
