  1. What does it cost?

    TransTeam is a nationwide membership of transmission shop owners. To become a TransTeam member each shop owner pays a registration fee to activate his package . Then, monthly membership dues are only $99.95 per month.

  2. What if I cancel my membership and then want to get back on later?

    You simply re-register online. You pay your monthly dues for that month to reinstate your membership privileges.

  3. Are there any long term obligations to sign?

    No. Shop owners become a member of TransTeam's nationwide membership of transmission shop owners by paying a registration fee and monthly dues. The shop owner may discontinue his membership anytime he chooses.

  4. Are there any extra charges when I hire an employee out of the TransTeam Employee Database?

    No, our billing system is a simple system consisting of membership fees and dues with no hidden costs.

  6. Is on-line ordering safe?

    At TransTeam there is no need to question the security of the information transmitted over the Internet. Our secure servers fully encrypt sensitive data for safe, trouble-free transactions. We utilize all of the latest security methods and fraud detection techniques available to protect any and all information you entrust to us. Credit card information transmitted on-line is encrypted while in transit, so that even if the information was intercepted, because it's encrypted, it is useless to a would be thief. Shopping on-line with your credit card or checking account information is safer than going to your local store or restaurant.

  7. How long does it take before I can start recruiting?

    You can start immediately. When you register on-line, you will recieve your user name and password. On the main menu, click on "Recruiting Office". Then, enter your username and password. You will be given access to the recruiting office. A link to the employee database is located in the recruiting office. Transteam has developed a user-friendly search engine that allows you to conduct specific searches for employees.

  8. How do I find employees that want to work in my area?

    TransTeam has developed a search engine that allows shop owners to search for employees by name, the state they register in, area they want to relocate to, and job category.

  9. How do I know when a new employee registers?

    When a new employee registers, a registration notification is automatically sent to all shop owners' e-mail addresses instantly. We call this mailing list the shop owners grapevine.

  10. How does the Help Wanted E-Mail work?

    When employees register their e-mail address is added to what we call the employees grapevine. This allows shop owners to go to the Recruiting Office, write one help wanted E-Mail and send it to all registered employees, on the employee grapevine. The employees contact you by phone or reply to your E-Mail if they are interested.

  11. How does Job Wanted E-Mail work?

    When employees register or update their registration, an Employee Registration Notice form is instantly e-mailed to all registered shop owners. We realize the employment information is limited to questions we ask on the registration forms. Job Wanted E-Mail allows the employee to elaborate on points not covered in the registration forms. Employees type in what they want to add to their registration and click "send". All shop owners will instantly receive the employees Job Wanted E-Mail message. This will follow the Employee Registration Notice, giving the shop owner a more complete picture of the employee. Shop owners simply reply to the Job Wanted E-Mail to contact the employee and conduct an interview.

  12. How does the Recruiting Website work?

    TransTeam builds and hosts a recruiting web site for each shop owner member. These web sites are indexed and hosted on the Help Wanted Board and recruit for the shop owner 24/7. Employees visit the Help Wanted Board and use the search engine, at the bottom of each page, to search for shops in the state that they want to work in. They simply click on the name of the shop and the recruiting website for that shop owner is displayed. These websites make it easy for the employee to contact the shop owner and provide links that help the employee relocate to that particular shop. These websites are like a high tech ad for recruiting employees. The Shop Owners write their own recruiting text and can change their ad at the Recruiting Website as the need arises.

  13. How many employees do you have registered?

    Part of the total automation process of our website automatically posts that information on the home page. The numbers instantly change each time an employee registers or removes his registration.

  14. How does the Members Message Board work?

    This is a common area where Shop Owners from coast to coast participate in an open forum. Ask a question by posting a message on the board and members answer by posting a reply.

  15. How do you get employees to register?

    Our National advertising program reaches employees in many ways. Transmission Digest, Gear's Magazine, Tradeshows and links to industry related websites, (ATRA, TRNi, ATSG and TransOnline, just to mention a few). Best of all, employees refer us to other employees because we have earned their trust and respect.

  16. I lost my password what do I do?

    On the main menu under shop owners click on "Lost Password". Enter your first and last name then click on "E-Mail Password". Your username will automatically be sent to your registered e-mail address. You will recieve your passwords within one minute to one hour depending on how heavy the internet traffic is.

  17. What if I have a complaint against an employee?

    Click on "Contact-Us" on the main menu. Fill out the form and select "Complaint". Click on "Send". We will notify the employee and try to resolve the complaint. Three unresolved complaints and the employee will be removed from the database.

  18. How do I drop my membership?

    Go to "Contact Us", enter your name and email address, then select "Remove my registration" and submit the form. TransTeam will send an email confirmation to the email address you enter and you will be dropped from our membership the last day of that month.

  20. Who pays for the relocation?

    That's up to you. Some shop owners pay it, others don't. Some pay part of the expenses. Some loan the relocation money to the employee and take payments out of his check. What ever you decide to work out with the employee.
