Introduction
TransTeam is the National Employment Headquarters for the transmission industry. Close to 3,000 people in the automotive transmission industry have become members at TransTeam over the last 15 years. Our membership consists of transmission shop owners, managers, re- builders, installers, general technicians, Allison re-builders and parts sales people. We use web applications to connect our members and assist them in becoming successful. All of our applications are built with cloud technology for the transmission industry and are accessible on any device that has an Internet connection including the I Phone and android smart phones. We have two main applications.
TransTeam Employment USA and TransTeam Production USA.The TransTeam Employment USA application, is the application that manages the national employment headquarters for the transmission industry. This human resource application connects our shop owner members and our employee members with features like on-line registration, a help wanted board, a recruiting office, help wanted email, job wanted email, specialized employee registrations, training videos , and an employee database that can conduct specific nationwide employee searches and pull up our specialized employee registrations. Hundreds of shop owner members and thousands of employee members have used this application to relocate to, and staff, transmission shops nationwide.
The TransTeam Production USA application is a real time production management application that transmission specialty shops use to manage lead flow, work flow, parts flow and cash flow. We encourage all shop owner members to use the production application so that our membership will have a uniform production system for all our employee members to use as they relocate around the country.
In an effort to get all the members to adopt the Production USA application, we are doing two things. One, we are helping our shop owner members train their shops on production management. Training videos for the entire shop are included in the application and we are available for on-line and telephone support. When the training is completed , we will issue a production management training completion certificate for the shop. It will be displayed on the shop owner members Help Wanted Add at the transteam website. That will let the employee members know that the members shop is using Production USA and make it a more attractive shop to relocate to. Secondly, we are certifying the employee members on production management. The employee production management training certificate will also be displayed at the website on the employees registration form. This lets the shop owner know that he does not have to spend time training this employee on production management and makes the employee more valuable to the shop owner member.
Our vendor members do not get connected to employment opportunities but, we do offer them on-line registration and connect them to our shop owner members. Production USA has created a new market place for parts sales people that gives them an opportunity to sell parts to our shop owner members. In the Production USA application, there is a parts flow application that orders parts for all the shop owner members via an email application. Vendor members like it because they can give their customers better service. No more hold time on the phone between the shop and the vendors. The shops and the parts salesmen save time by using our technology. The Production USA application allows our Vendors to take more orders and deliver more accurate orders, than they ever could over the phone . In today's economy, the TransTeam Production USA application is a welcome new application for our vendor members. They can pick up some extra business and supply a great time, and money saving service to our membership.
Our founder and President Art Little along with TransTeam's Vice President, Cory Edmiston have put together a new SaaS (Software as a Service) cloud technology model for TransTeam that will help them assist and train all members in the everyday operations of a transmission shop for many years to come.
